Epcot Food & Wine Festival 2016: A Vegan Guide Around The World

Hello Everyone ❤

This past weekend I had the awesome opportunity of celebrating my best friend’s birthday in Disney World. It was our third year in a row attending Epcot’s Food and Wine Festival to live it up on her special day. Needless to say- it was AMAZING.

Now without any more fluff intro~ Here is everything I ate (all of the following items are Vegan friendly except one Vegetarian option at the end). Enjoy!

  1. JAPAN

During our stop in Japan I got:

  1. The Grilled Spicy Edamame (Tossed with sesame seed oil, soy sauce, & chili powder) which came out to- $4.75.
  2. Kirin Pale Lager – $4.00

The edamame was good but a little difficult to eat- especially in the blazing Florida sun with crowds of people pushing you left and right. However it was spiced perfectly. The lager was delish but it was put in the smallest cup I’ve ever seen. A proper sized beer can be found in England’s pub or other offsite beverage carts but it will run you at least $10 for a simple Stella.

2. Greece

Greece killed it this year with their Loaded Greek “Nachos”! 100% Vegan. 100% Delicious.

Definitely the food item I was most excited to try this year at Epcot’s Food and Wine Festival.

Made with Pita Chips, Meatless Sausage Crumbles & Vegan Tzatziki. What more could you want out of life? When I was waiting in line for this gem I was debating whether or not I should buy two portions but I am happy I stuck with just one! The serving size was perfect.

I didn’t indulge in any drinks in Greece ~ The Nachos alone came out to- $4.50.

3. Italy

Champagne stop in Italy ❤

It’s not too surprising that Italy didn’t have any vegan options but stopping for their champagne was a MUST.

If you are going directly to their booth for a drink you will find anything from a Moretti Lager Beer for $5.50 to a frozen Margarita for $10.00. There is a massive selection of wine and champagne in Italy that ranges anywhere from $6-$9 for a glass.

4. South Korea

During our stop in South Korea I got:

  1. The Vegan Korean BBQ!!! Made with Gardein Beefless Tips, steamed rice, and cucumber kimchi. YUMMMMMMMM. Definitely could have gone back for another round! The Vegan Korean BBQ alone was $4.75.

2. iCing Grapefruit Sparkling Rice Brew. This might have been my favorite drink while eating and drinking around the world. It was refreshing, crisp, and had a little tang of tart. Perfect after sweating my soul off in line!

5. MOROCCO

morocco

Morocco has always been one of my favorite stops! While in Morocco I got:

  1. The Spicy Hummus Fries. These were nothing like I thought they would be. I pictured literal french fries with hummus. Instead it was cute blocks of pure love. The actual “fries” had a crispy outside and a delicious soft hummus-y inside. They had the perfect amount of zing. I definitely enjoyed the cucumber accents on top as well. If I could eat hummus fries for the rest of my life- at least once a day…I’d do it. Highly Recommend. – $5.00

2. The Mimosa Royale. Made with sparkling wine and orange juice and topped with an orange liqueur. The drink that packs a punch! I guess with all the hustle and bustle with the assembly line set up they have at the food and wine festival, I didn’t quite realize what I had ordered when I simply said ‘Mimosa’. I thought it was just a simple little mimosa but after I downed this drink – I definitely felt some type of way. – At $8.00 I should have known there was something special about this mimosa lol.

*Please be aware this food item is Vegetarian-the Tzatziki sauce placed on top is not vegan*

This concludes my delicious adventure eating and drinking around the world at Epcot’s Food and Wine Festival.

My Top Tips for Taking on Epcot’s Food and Wine Festival:

  1. WEAR COMFORTABLE SHOES! For the love of all that’s holy wear comfortable shoes! Your feet will hurt by the end of the day. You will regret everything.
  2. You’re Gonna Spend A Lot. Be prepared to cry when you look at your bank account the next day. Seriously the ticket to get in is already $100 and on average you will spend anywhere from $10-$20 per booth if you get both food and a drink. Bye bye savings!

ALSO if you are planning on staying in Disney/ Orlando for an extended weekend, I do recommend a visit to:

DISNEY SPRINGS

Downtown Disney AKA what is now called “Disney Springs” is a lovely place to spend an afternoon after recovering from Food And Wine Festival. My group and I decided to hit it hard all day long at Food and Wine in Epcot and then decided to stay in a hotel close by that night. The following day we explored the newly renovated Disney Springs.

Disney Springs is loaded with delicious restaurants, cute shops, and even peaceful boat rides.

The wolfpack and I ended up eating lunch at Rainforest Cafe and then explored all the cute shops.

My favorite finds were at Anthropologie and Zara:

All things MEOW, as always.

The shirt is from Zara for $40

And the cat cups can be found at Anthropologie for $14.

Hope you all enjoyed this post. Questions and comments are always welcome. Good Vibes and have a lovely day ❤
